Next thing to accomplish in the backyard:
~ cut down some trees
~ make a retaining wall behind the fort
~ fill the playing area with small rocks
~ finish putting sod around the patio
D has been working so hard. I try to help when Phia is taking a nap or is content to sit for awhile but he has done 90% of the work. It looks FABULOUS! Just to give you a little background our backyard was nothing but trees, leaves, roots, dirt, and a whole lot of other junk when we moved in. After you see the pictures you will understand how hard Derek has worked to make the backyard a place for our family to be together.
Our back yard when we moved in.
Our back yard now!
The girls fort...this was given to us by one of D's co-workers! You can't really see but there are two swings beside the pink on. For Isabella's b-day we are getting her a glider to go on the end.
The left side of our yard. We put this bed in this Apirl. The rocks you see help our yard drain since the back is higher then the front.
From the back door this is the right side of our backyard.
We put this flower bed in last year.
Before the patio...
...After!
Early b-day present from my parents.
Love these fun chairs and table!

WOW! That looks great! Ya'll have tripled your yard playspace...way to go D! You will spend MANY hours there in the days to come (except b/w 12-3)hehe
Love it! Can't wait to see it in person :)
