Sophia's Story:

When I went to my doctors appointment Wed. at 3 I was 4 centimeters and 80% effaced. They scheduled to induce me the next morning but Sophia decided to make a grand entrance.
I had been having contractions for four days but didn't think much about it b/c they weren't close enough together to worry about. Derek, Isabella, and I went to Bojangles and had dinner around 6:30 and we came home to wait until morning to meet Sophia. I went to put Isabella to sleep around 8:30 having contractions every 6-8 minutes but assumed they would stop like they had been doing. WRONG....laying on B's bed my water broke. We got to the hospital at 10:30 pm and I was 7 centimeters 100% effaced. Twenty min. later i was 9 centimeters and quickly got to 10. I pushed for 20 min. and she was here. Sophia was facing "sunny side" up so it was harder getting her out then I remember during Isabella's birth. It was a whirlwind delivery but I wouldn't have it any other way since I made the decision with both my girls to have a natural birth. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and mom who were there every step of the way encouraging me. I really don't know how I would have made it through without them.
How blessed I am!
Enjoy the pics below of our sweet Sophia!
