Sweet Blessings: Isabella's hospital adventure

We have been dealing with the same ear infection since July. She was on four different medicines but the infection just kept coming back. At the end of December we took her to an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) to talk about getting tubes put in. We met the doctor on Monday and she was scheduled for tubes on Thursday. For Isabella Kate it was an adventure but for me it was a little traumatic.
They gave her a little mask with Dora sticker all around it to play with before they took her back. It was the same mask they used during the surgery. We got to bring it home and if you ask Isabella what you do with it she'll put it up to her mouth and breath. :)
All is well now but I am pretty sure we will have to do this a couple more times before her "real" tubes start working properly.
During the last couple of months I have learned enough about the working of the ear.....so if you have any questions just ask :). One thing that I did learn is that issues with the inner ear are caused by the way your face is structured, which is genetic. In other words it's my fault....sorry baby. My sister and I both had tubes three or four times growing up and we just passed it right along.....lucky Isabella.
